FOI Freedom of Information Act Workshop

The Freedom of Information Act for many can be a nightmare to get your head around. What do you ask? where do you go to find public information? Who do you contact? What is the process?

It can be tough but at the Brighton and Hove Housing Coalition we have experts in this field and want to share our knowledge and skills to help upkill others in the fight for transparancy and accountability.

The Freedom Of Information act can help activists and organisations gain information from public bodies and with changes happening to the law, its vital we all keep up.

In the session you will have the opportunity to create your own FOI Request with the guidance of experienced activists in the field.

Do have a rough idea of what it is you want to find out beforehand and we can explore the technicalities within the workshop.

*This is a free workshop and is funded via local non statutory funding services. We are not funded by the local authority.

IMPORTANT: Please bring a laptop on the day or a smartphone so we can create the FOI request. If you need assistance please contact [email protected].
